The STLA believes in supporting up and coming litigators who will protect the rights of Saskatchewan people. Sponsoring a financial award to support students at the College of Law in their pursuit of a legal career is part of giving back to where it all began.
The STLA Western Canada Moot
The STLA fully agrees that advocacy education in the form of mooting is important to the development of students. The Board of Governors has agreed to fully sponsor the renamed STLA Western Canada Moot Team at the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan.
The STLA Western Canada Moot Prize
Established in 2013, the STLA has sponsored a scholarship, granted annually, to recognize the student in the Juris Doctor degree program with the top academic performance as a member of the Western Canada Moot Team, College of Law, University of Saskatchewan.
College of Law Trial Advocacy Award
Since 1988, the STLA has sponsored a Trial Advocacy Award granted annually to student in the Juris Doctor degree program who is enrolled in the Trial and Appellate Advocacy course at the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan.
